JOURNAL KEEPER
Journaling has been a part of my life since 1988. That’s over 30 years of recording life in all of its facets. My journaling practice consists of many types of journals: my longer narrative sketchbook, my bullet journal and my dream journal, all of which I write in daily.
I also keep my art journal which I mention here with details of the art tools I use in my current practice. The purpose of my art journal is to play with color, texture, words, mark making, and engage in a deep intuitive process that speaks to me on a soul level, from first day to the last in making each spread, which can take anywhere from a few days to a few months.
Journaling is my place to express all of my emotions, to record my thoughts, to organize my day and keep track of things that matter to me. I love mixing it up with words, illustration, lists, and trackers for a variety of topics. Journaling helps me note what is important. It’s a narrative that covers all facets of life.
