Dawn Herring is a freelance writer in genres of memoir, essay, devotional, humor, fiction, and poetry. She has been published in HSLDA’s Home School Court Report, in several online newsletters including SFC Newsletter for Writers (listed in Writer’s Digest’s 101 Best Websites for Writers) and Minute to Minute newsletter in association with The Old Schoolhouse Magazine for homeschooling, as a guest blogger, and in her local newspaper, The Princeton Herald.
Dawn’s current WIP’s are a young adult novel and a childhood memoir. She has also posted several examples of her devotionals on her blog.
Dawn’s passion is to share God’s Light and Life with others through words of encouragement, humor, and fresh insight from her everyday experiences.
One of Dawn’s niches is on keeping a journal, recording her personal experiences as well as her family’s milestones, which she has done for over 20 years, thus the name of her business: JournalWriter Freelance.
Dawn is also a homeschooling veteran of ten years, an office manager and business partner with Bill’s Quality Electric, LLC, a portrait artist, mom of two teen daughters, and owner of one furry feline named Sophie.
